The CRISAFE project officially launched with a series of strategic meetings held from March 12th to March 15th, 2024, in Brussels and Zagreb.
The first kick-off meeting took place on March 12th in Brussels with DG ECHO, where key discussions focused on financial, legal, and administrative aspects of project implementation. This was followed by a consortium meeting on March 15th in Zagreb, where partners aligned on objectives, strategies, and implementation plans.
On March 12th the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Zagreb, CRISAFE partner in charge of coordinating the project, represented CRISAFE at a kick-off meeting organized by DG ECHO for all awarded UCPM-2023-KAPP projects. Key topics such as financial, legal, administrative, and communication frameworks were discussed, including a bilateral meeting with the CRISAFE Project Officer.
UCPM-2023-KAPP is a European Commission initiative under the Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) aimed at enhancing knowledge, preparedness, and prevention for civil protection and disaster risk management. The program supports projects that foster collaboration, innovation, and capacity-building among Member States to improve response to emergencies and disasters across Europe.
The consortium partners reconvened on March 15th at the University of Zagreb to further elaborate on the project’s strategic vision and implementation approach. This meeting solidified collaboration among partners, fostering a strong start for CRISAFE’s initiatives.
